Our Students

Our scholarship program selects students from seven local high schools, and we welcome applications from all interested candidates. You can download the application from our website or obtain a copy from your school's guidance office. Along with the application, we require a student transcript and an essay that highlights their desire to pursue higher education and why they believe they are deserving of the scholarship. At HOLC, we recognize that many students face significant barriers to obtaining a college education. This is especially true for those who come from families with limited educational opportunities or financial means. Our program aims to provide these students with the resources and support they need to achieve their educational goals. We stay in touch with our scholarship recipients throughout their academic journey, offering academic and personal guidance. Additionally, our scholarship increases in value with each year of enrollment: $350 for freshmen, $500 for sophomores, $750 for juniors, and $1000 for seniors. We are committed to growing our program and increasing the number and value of scholarships awarded.
